Toby Huddlestone's Auto-Archive: Correspondence Show, Lionel Dobie Project, Manchester (2013)

"Contemporary curating has redefined the archive and brought it into line with how artists use documentation of previous work. The archive is now being used as a research tool, an instigator, a post-modern signifier - a site where the past is up-heaved by the present, only to be made into the past again. It has become embedded into the plethora of practices we see today running through contemporary art."

An exhibition curated by a group of curators, each invited to choose an artwork from a list and show this alongside correspondence provided by Toby.

I chose Dan Graham's, Present Continuous Moment, and produced an audio essay in 11 fragments installed throughout show using QR codes (on beer bottle labels at the private view). The essay was accompanied by a handout.
